W. Nikola-Lisa If you're looking for a program that combines the performance arts, reading and literature, you've come to the right place.  My background is in music, storytelling, and theatre.  Additionally, I have been a summer youth program coordinator and an elementary school teacher.  And, over the last twenty years, I've written close to two dozen picture books for young readers.  I combine all of these experiences into an action-packed program that seeks to inspire young students, so that they too catch the "literacy bug."  I juggle scarves, play the harmonica, use puppets and silly costumes, all in service of sharing my writing and publishing experiences.  Whether it's a multi-grade level school assembly, an evening family literacy program, or a public library program, I try to both inform and entertain.   As one principal noted after my presentation, "Nikola brings text to life with music, story and theatre.  He captures the audience and takes them on a journey into the creation and life of his books.  An exceptional children's author who hooks students into the reading and writing process."
